Heard a lot of good things about red wing shoes and boots in this sub. I bought a nice pair of Oxford leather chippewas about two years ago, and I like them, but they really aren't comfortable at all. They got a little better after the break-in, but they're kinda hard and standing on my feet for 6+ hours at a tradeshow was basically murder. Granted, not many shoes can help you after 6 hours, but the chips were definitely the worst. They're wearable at work if I'm on and off my feet all day, but any continuous length of time standing is torture.
Are red wings comfortable? I like the idea of wearing leather shoes or work boots daily, but don't want to pony up the cash if they feel like wooden clogs.
