How do I think more in terms of how a situation or event in the world will affect the financials of items related to it?
Silly example of this is from Silicon Valley. Nerdy CEO links the reproductive cycles of cicadas from 2 countries to the supply of sesame seeds available in the world markets and so he places a large bet on that (or something like that).
What are some of the ways I can start to think more in these terms?
