I have also filed a claim with my insurance, however, with the coverage I have, since it is not my fault, I have to deal with the rental company’s claim department.
I am fully expecting to receive compensation for my car but will I get compensation for the tow truck I had to call, the expense of storing my car at the tow truck place, and the cost of transportation I have accumulated due to not having reliable transportation?
This is my first time getting into an accident this severe so I don’t know what I am eligible to get covered.
Edit: Turns out the reason my insurance won’t lift a finger is because I didn’t get the optional collision coverage, which would’ve made this situation much easier. Will definitely get that with my next car. Thanks for everyone’s answers.
