Hello. I have recently been told by my father he wants me to move out. (I have time, however: he's not going to force me to sleep on the street by a certain date or anything.) For basic information, I am 18, don't have anyone to move with, own a cat, and own a car (fully owned: not making payments). My job will give me 2700USD per month.

I have heard that the rule for rent is that it shouldn't exceed 30% of your income, correct? Where I live, it is reasonable for me to find such a studio apartment. The cheapest ones go for around 550USD a month. I will not count on finding such a one available, but I believe I can say with good certainty that I can find one below 800 (the limit) with cat fee.

On another note, I tried to look it up, and I think what I hear is that water, electricity, and heating/cooling are included in the rent price for apartments usually. Is this true? I haven't factored in those expenses as a result of thinking this, so correct me if I'm wrong.

The matter I think I'm the most ignorant about is how to configure insurance for myself upon moving out. The job does not appear to offer any. I will need: health insurance, car insurance, and renters insurance, yes? For renters insurance, many of these complexes I look into require it, and also I'm worried that I'll get unlucky and move into a place that wants to scam me, placing me responsible for paying for replacement and repairs of things that were poor when I got there. For car insurance, god, I heard it is expensive for young people like me. For health insurance, I really don't think I want to go without it. Aside from the matter of seeing many people becoming destitute because they had the nerve to need emergency treatment or get sick, I take a few different medications for depression. I am not in therapy or anything else for it and don't intend to.

So, my questions regarding insurance are: What can I do to find the best insurance for me? How do I/can I take into consideration my current medications? And, I've heard a lot about getting all your insurance from a single company or bundling it. Is this beneficial? How would that work with trying to find something specific for me regarding health insurance? And I am assuming that I'll have to pay some out of pocket for the meds even with insurance.

Thank you for taking the time to read this!
