I was chatting with a colleague at work who recently signed up to the same gym I go to on the same tier membership, but was paying less than me. I am not sure why, but I decided to give them a call to review my membership pricing. They saw that I've been attending regularly over 3 years and as a result, were happy to reduce my membership by almost $5/week.
I was expecting to need to push a bit more but they seem to value loyalty. Hope this encourages others in a similar situation to not be afraid to ask :)
