I am not really sure which decision to make regarding where I should move.
Option 1 - Live in a fully furnished 2 bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room basement - rent with water and electricity will be 800 a month total. I would pay for my own internet. This basement does not have a washer and dryer. I would have to go to a laundry mat or get my own. I don't have to sign a contract and can move out anytime I want. Neighborhood is safe, nice, quiet. I dont have to worry about moving out anytime soon if stay here because there is a family who lives in the house.
Option 2 - Move in with a friend in a new house he bought. I would have my own bedroom, but would share a bathroom and kitchen area with other roommate. Rent would be 500 a month without utilities. Not sure how much water, electric, or internet would cost but it would be split 3 ways. Neighborhood is safe, nice, quiet. This home does have a washer and dryer. I have reservations on how long I could stay there because one roommate is moving out in a year, so I know rent cost would go up. Also, the home owner is single, but I do not know when he might want to get married, etc, hence I would have to move out.
Both options are kinda far far from where I live now. Not sure what to decide.
Any thoughts?
