Hi all, I tried posting this to r/askculinary and was directed here. Maybe y’all have some recommendations? I know this sub is mostly testaments to things that last forever but if anyone has any suggestions I would be forever grateful!
We are moving into a new house that has an amazing kitchen, including an Aga range with an induction cooktop. I’ve never had experience working with an induction cooktop, but I know I’ll need some new skillets, pots and pans since I’ve tried the “magnet trick” and many of my cookware has failed.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a BIFL set of pots and pans that are able to be used on an induction cooktop? I’ve never had a matching set before and I’m really looking forward to stepping up my game and getting a really nice (but not breaking the bank) matching set of pots and pans for the new place. A few key things I’m looking for are:
- Able to be used on an induction cooktop
- A set that includes a few “non-stick” skillets
- It’s important that the “non-stick” skillets don’t contain Teflon or PFOA. Open to alternative non-stick suggestions.
- If the set does not contain two stockpots, I will be able to add pieces to match the set (yes, I use lots of stockpots!) Ideally I use a 6, 8 and 10 quart.
I have a few cast iron pieces which I hear are good for induction, but they’re not at the point where they’re ready for eggs yet.
Any recommendations are appreciated! I am in the US, if that matters. Thank you!
