Just in case you're waiting for an official recession to be announced before making moves - this happens with a large delay, of a year, sometimes even more than that. I mean the way it works is as follows:
- The economy goes into a recession, but NBER is quiet
- A ~year passes, or more
- The NBER announces, at some point, that we've been in a recession for the past year, we just didn't know it then. But now we know.

The same applies to recoveries from a recession.
