The past week, I only purchased very few items (including a gift for my mother). The hurricane we thought that would hit us, didn't and I returned the majority of the snacks, drinks, and pantry items and got back over $30. I have to go out of town to do a background check so I used some of the cash to buy almond milk since the hotels don't offer it and a pack of cookies. I also redeemed points on the Fetch App to get a $10 giftcard for a local restaurant. I want to split the meal for two night and since my hotel has free breakfast (and a fridge), food is not a big worry.
It feels good to not have to spend money when you have a little pantry of snacks in stock. I hope that going out of town doesn't make me feel a need to overspend for food. However, since I have to travel by bus, Uber/Lyft will be the way for me. Since everywhere is 10 to 15 mins apart by car, it shouldn't be so bad.
Wish me luck or provide some extra tips, please.
