Looking to purchase new (not used/thrift) area rugs, but they seem quite expensive at Lowes. Any other suggestions? Also, are there any tips to keep area rugs in good condition? For example, Lowe's had "carpet pads" and I'm not sure if that's for maximum cushiness or to protect the rug itself.
