I have owned a GRIP6 belts for over a year now, and it has no signs of wear, never comes loose, and is made from extremely durable materials (buckle is aerospace alluminum, belt is braided nylon) and I felt that it is time where I can recommend this as a BIFL option.
I know, I know... This isn't something that I have used for my entire life, but I could easily see it being used for my entire life. even if one of the two pieces somehow broke, they have a lifetime unlimited warranty because of how durable they are.
If you're unfamiliar with grip6 belts, I'd take a look on their website just to see a visual. Of course the less parts, the less points of failure. My belt that I have used personally only looks like I've worn it for a week, and it's elegant and simple in functionality and looks.
Anyone else rocking a GRIP6? what do you think of it? What are some of your use cases?
