FIXED: after three weeks of texting, he texted me back as soon as i posted this message (another reditter perhaps :D ). there are wires at the top, it is white with white, red with red, and black with black. he had the white and black together .Hi All! So, last winter my boiler/heater was having issues. I had a plumber come and he temporarily fixed it so it would just stay on all the time - I would turn it off by flipping the power beaker switch. In case you are wondering, he did this because we had a Polar Vortex come through and there really was no time to waste finding a thermostat, hoping it would work, etc. If it wasn't fixed, my pipes could have broken. So his fix worked, I got through winter, and all was well. Now, before winter hits, I am trying to get it fixed properly. Only thing is, I can't get a hold of the guy anymore.I got a new thermostat and it is working, but I need to know how to wire it so it will only turn on when the thermostat calls it.I just don't know which wires go where.I have a Honeywell Aquastat Relay Type L8148E, pic below. Before I go on a quest to find the answer, I thought I would try here in case it is really easy and someone just knows the answer. Thanks for your help!https://ift.tt/2ordvyR via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2opyIZS
