Whenever I see discussion or top 10 lists for best places to buy raw land and live off grid Wyoming is never mentioned or doesn't make the list. Does anyone else find this a little odd?

The state seems desolate and is the least populated yet I guess for some weird reason it is expensive or not really good? It's kind of a head scratcher for me. If it is expensive..why??

I saw it come in 10th place once on a list and that's it. It should be #1?? I mean it's the "Alaska" of the lower 48 states right?
