Hey all. I’ve always liked REI’s return policy - but I have rarely needed to use it. I’m extra cautious about things I buy, and have sourced outdoor gear from less expensive sources. Saw a great pair of outdoorsy sandals that were perfect for me and fit my wide feet well. Took them on a month and a half road trip/expedition through the Rockies and into Alaska - and they have basically fallen apart. I feel torn between being surprised they didn’t last and feeling like it’s pretty obvious I put them through hell and I shouldn’t be too surprised. But I have some non-outdoorsy sandals I’ve owned for 5+ years and worn regularly every summer that are still going strong - similar pricing too. Am I being silly about this? I’d like to just return for a replacement and give them another shot, maybe, but maybe I should just cut my losses.
