I’ve been trying to figure this out for, like, the last 8 months! I’m due with a second baby in the first week of October and I have a four year old.
I live with my boyfriend in his house. He makes decent money but not enough at the moment with some unexpected bills on his part to comfortably do everything financially.
I’ve been working, making minimum wage, and stayed at this current job for the health insurance. However I didn’t realize how HORRIBLY EXPENSIVE it’s turning out to be (and I have good insurance!!! 😭)
So I had to pay this year’s deductible plus next years deductible because I’ll be pregnant for TWO WEEKS into the next insurance year... plus 30% copays... and it’s a slightly high risk pregnancy... then I’ll still owe the hospital separately from the OB/GYN... UGH
I’m caught up on the bill for the doctor but idk what to expect from the hospital yet.
To make things really frustrating, I won’t be able to afford childcare with my current job, however I’ll have paid for the new year deductible and then have to quit pretty much immediately. Gigantic waste.
I need to babysit after I quit for some extra money with no childcare for my own children attached, yet I’ve done this before and I seriously am not cut out for that type of work. I love my kids but I’m not a “kid person”. So I’m full of anxiety about it but I feel like I have no choice.
Next spring I would like to go back to school and become either a CNA or phlebotomist, and pay for it with my tax refund... not sure which one would be better though and I don’t wanna waste anymore money.
That was a lot of rambling but I’m just feeling kind of stuck with everything. I’ve played like 5 scenarios in my head and none of them really work. I’m in between a rock and a hard spot which ever way I turn.
