ER visit 8/11 turned into an overnight inpatient stay, released 8/12.
Hospital was provided employer-provided BCBS insurance info as primary, and Medicaid insurance as secondary.
Hospital billed Medicaid as primary insurance using my BCBS ID and did not bill BCBS at all. Medicaid received the claim with my BCBS ID number instead of Medicaid ID.
Hospital states I owe balance in full and is rigid in their stance.
Medicaid says they will get involved Monday (they are denying the majority of it) and hospital says they will not put forth any effort to correct their mistakes.
Besides working with Medicaid and BCBS, is there anything else I could be doing to protect myself from their error and make this right?
