I'm lactose intolerant, I didn't find out until I was out of highschool. So, this leads into a somewhat frugal way to drink milk.
If you're not a milk drinker but still drink milk every now and then, organic milk lasts 2 to 3 months. So, instead of buying $3 gallons every 2 weeks or so, you can buy a $5~6 gallon every 2 to 3 months.
I probably drink a glass of chocolate milk, since I hate the taste of milk, every other week. I also use it for eggs every now and then.
Since I don't drink it often, it will last me quite a while, usually saving some money.
2 reasons why I save money getting the expensive milk.
For whatever reason I can drink the Walmart brand organic milk without a blowout, or at least very minimal incompatibility with me.
The milk will also last me a while, upwards to the full 2 months. But, usually just over a month unless I am binge drinking.
This usually saves me around $3 to $6 every 2 months. Because milk usually lasts 2 weeks before spoiling after opening. At least for me it does. So, now I don't have to feel like I have to down a gallon and be miserable. And I don't have to let any of it spoil.
I know this won't be for everyone, as some people LOVE milk. But, even so, the organic brand of Walmart milk is crazy delicious. I could drink it plain, but man I haven't tasted chocolate milk so good.
