Hoping somebody can help here.

I have a coworker who is plenty gullible. A while back, she got a call from the "IRS" or something like that and they asked for her SSN and she GAVE IT TO THEM!!!

What can/should she do? I know losing your SSN is a big deal but what exactly can happen? Can she get in contact with anyone regarding this and make sure no one is doing some nefarious stuff with her SSN?
