I'm going to be hanging 2 shelves (20" x 60") of 1" oak. I expect for them to have pretty heavy stuff piled on them - house plants and books.What are the best options for mounting these things? Obv big old brackets lagged into studs would support the weight but, are there any aesthetically cleaner options? Can I do floating brackets? A French cleat with a cable/chain supporting the front?
