I was hospitalized for a suicide attempt in mid-June. I was admitted for a total of three days in the telemetry unit under 24/7 cardiovascular monitoring.
I am a college student whose father passed away unexpectedly in December. My family is still sorting out finances from my father’s accounts, since he died without a living will. I am on my own trying to navigate this issue. I need all the help I can get.
I do not know how to speak to insurance companies. I do not know the jargon necessary to advocate for myself against the insurance’s letter of denial. Please offer advice on how to ensure my insurance will help me financially and what steps I need to take to get there.
