I'm going to be building a deck in my yard within the coming weeks. For the post holes I'd like to use an auger to help with the digging for the concrete footings. I have a sprinkler system that was installed before we purchased the house. I've already capped off one of the sprinkler heads that was in the vicinity of where I wanted to build the deck.Is using an auger for digging the holes a bad idea if I don't know where my sprinkler systems lines run?
