I have a small room that I want to convert into a musical instrument. I want to put piano strings and other things onto a freestanding wall, as well as other things in the room using the floor as a resonator.My acoustic explorations are hampered by a new laminate floor installed by the owners. All sounds are too bright now. I want the wood warmth sound to some deconstructed pianos and deep percussion. All I can think of at the moment is putting a solid inch of plywood down and then enclosing it with a half inch hollow with sound holes cut away.Weird request and will not be surprised if this post is a dud. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/32g1dbT
