Im a 22 year old college student with a credit score in the upper 700's. Ive never missed a credit card payment, I dont have any current loans, and I just started a brand new job last week and was also signed by a few modeling agencies.
My life has taken a pretty positive turn, however on my way home from my very first day of work last monday my car began to crap out. Its a nearly twenty year old vehicle that I've been throwing thousands at over the past year but have now run out of money and need a new car.
I went to a credit union to try and get preapproved for a loan of $8,000 but was rejected because I just began this new job and don't have a relationship with the bank. I just went to the bank that I've used for the past four years and found out that they no longer do auto loans. I applied for a personal loan but was again rejected.
I've called a couple "pay here" dealerships and spoken to them over the phone about my predicament but they told me that there isnt much that they can do for me without proof of income. Between my new job and my modeling agencies, I've been given potential to make enough money to pay off any loan in under a year as I have no other debts. I just cant show up to these jobs as I dont have reliable transportation.
I cant think of any potential solutions here and feel as though I have run out of options
