I was cleaning out our bathroom cabinet yesterday and noticed a substance that appeared to be toothpaste on one of the shelves - when I tried to wipe it it was stuck pretty firmly to the shelf itself and had a spongy/foamy texture but was also quite sticky - it is as if something had bonded with the shelf.I tried to scrape it off but it appears it has eaten right into the shelf itself.Any thoughts on what could have caused it or how to fix it?I think the shelf is a particleboard or LPM board - not sure as we didn’t install or build. I’m guessing some liquid has reacted with it in some way but all we have in the cupboard are basic bathroom cleaning items that for the most part have natural ingredients only.Very odd and creepy like something out of stranger things. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2xwmkZi
