Last year I noticed that the water in the reservoir for my swamp cooler was conducting electricity somehow. Sticking your hand in, you’d feel a low level current. I kinda just rolled with it, and tried not to think about it. But it’s getting hot again, and I’m worried about using this same unit. Any idea what could cause this? The electricity in my house isn’t grounded, any concerns there? Any chance this issue could be responsible for 3x normal electric bill last year?
