I looked at buying a level to help set up my DWV pipes, but they all seemed to be made for lifetime use by a professional. Very costly and too much for what I needed.Instead, I took two existing levels -- a 2' and a picture-hanging level -- and taped a piece of scrap wood to one end of each. The wood's thickness equals the recommended 1/4 inch of drop per linear foot. Now I just lay the level on top of a pipe and if the bubble sits in the middle, I'm good to cement in place.Later I marked on the tape which direction to point the level, so I wouldn't accidentally build in rise where I meant to have fall.Photo: https://ift.tt/2NmPgO3 via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2XepPTv
