Hello all,I have a Hampton bay ceiling fan in my living room (not exactly sure of the model at the moment) that has stopped working. It is connected to a light switch that I never touched because I always used the remote to control both the fan and light. Just recently I could no longer turn on either so my first suspect was the remote. I changed the battery, no luck. I tried to reset the remote by holding down the power button for an extended period (a tip I found online somewhere), no luck. However, when I hit the fan power button I can hear a clicking noise coming from somewhere up in the fan and I'm able to make the clicking noise stop by hitting the power button again on the remote which lead me to believe it is in fact not the remote. When I hit the light button on the remote you can see subtle flashes coming from the bulbs if you look carefully enough. Also, it doesn't have any chains to pull on if that makes a difference .Any suggestions before I take the whole thing apart? Thank you. via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2QJqeXo
