Just taken up the carpet in our 100 year old terrace house and found these gorgeous floorboards.http://bit.ly/2WSEKxw of big gaps in some places the could be sorted out with the skirting board replacement we are doing. Some other ones will need replacement boards and a bit of filling with something.Anyone have any tips or advice on how to go about cleaning and fixing up while keeping the character of the floor and to show off its age. Really love the trim round the fire hearth that we will refitting. Will sanding do more harm than good? Should we finish them off with wax or stain and varnish?Have to excuse my ignorance with this as it's my first time even thinking about a project like this. via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2IrmrM5
