Was called by Synchrony to inquire about payment on credit line at a jewelry store. Account was fraudulent. Filed fraud claim given it was identity theft. Bank sent back a claim “denial” with a check box filled in that I indeed did open this account.
I have placed credit freezes with all three bureaus. Reviewed my credit report for any other irregularities. What are my next options other than further dispute with the bank who insists I owe them money?
