I've been hanging on to my iPhone 6 for close to 5 years now. It's pretty toast at this point and probably worth nothing to trade in.
I want to stay with an iPhone and was debating buying a used 8+ from FB marketplace or Swappa. I like the idea of saving some money and keeping an unwanted phone from sitting in a drawer. But, I don't know if it would last long enough to make saving money worth it. If I could get another 4+ years out of a phone, that would be great.
Any tips/personal experience for buying new vs used smartphones? I struggle with the idea of newer iphones being so expensive, but it's been a while since I've bought a phone so I could see how that's just "how it is" now. But I can equally see Apple charging that much because they can and know people will upgrade regardless.
