I just inherited a small sewing cabinet and cannot get it clean. Every unfinished surface of the cabinet was covered in some black "tar", probably from cigarettes. I have scrubbed most of it off with water/vinegar, elbow grease, and goo gone in various amounts. However, no matter what I do or how clean it looks, if I rub a dry paper towel over the "cleaned" area it comes up dirty. So frustrating. I am thinking some sort of sealer/varnish/lacquer to form a barrier between the grime and drawer contents...maybe...idk. Any suggestions or other ideas? via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/30PrsVT
