Idk if this is the right sub for this, but it deals with my personal finances so.
I just graduated high school and have been working a minimum wage job at a food place for about a month. The job itself is easy but rush hours can get bad.
The problem is, we have too many managers. Idk what for, some only work 11 hrs a week so.
I work pretty consistently about 30 hours. Its not enough to be considered full time, but I am more experienced than most people at the store. I also can do everything that the managers do. Sometimes Ill be handling serving, making food, taking orders from window and fixing incorrect orders all at once.
But now we just had 4 people quit and our store is already small and understaffed.
Its no question that they need me. But Im tired of minimum wage for these hours. Now I have to cover the hours of the people who just quit. Ive asked some of the managers and they told me they dont give raises.
I just feel like for my responsibilities, and the amount of hours I put into the store. It doesnt seem right that I am the least paid person.
But they dont give raises, so I guess Ill have to find a new job then?
Im curious as to what to do
