Is it not unrealistic to expect some consolidation with the current suite of tools? InVision in particular (but even Sketch etc). Or potentially some IPO for these tools given their profitability and potential for scale? This seems particularly relevant given the pending Slack IPO.

What do you think about the likelihood of InVision going public or being acquired by an established company?

InVision is valued at $1,7B right now (but any sale will likely command a 1.5X-3X premium of that), has $100M in revenue and claims to have a user base of 5million (although unsure how many are fully paid or freemium).Potential buyers could be:

  • Adobe has $3B cash on hand (purchase to complement XD or to kill a competitor)
  • Microsoft has $115B cash on hand (purchase to create a core functionality for a suite of creative design and development tools)
  • Google has $130B cash on hand (same as microsoft)
  • Atlassian $1.8B cash on hand (purchase to create a core functionality for a suite of creative design and development tools)
