Is there anything in existence like a SodaStream, but has CO2 tanks that can be brought to a brew shop to be refilled with food grade CO2? Apparently SodaStream has changed their tanks which make it difficult, if not impossible, to refill their cartridges with CO2 (there is a local brew shop that used to refill them).
I've looked into several other brands, but it seems the only two options are disposable cartridges, or cartridges that use the actual SodaStream system.
So I thought that maybe there is a company out there that makes a sparkling water maker that uses standard CO2 tanks that can be refilled.
I know I can buy an adapter for a SodaStream and use a refillable CO2 tank, but I wanted to look at alternatives first.
To clarify, I don't own a SodaStream or anything like it. But I'd like to obtain cheap, fizzy water because... it's nice. :)
