Hi,First post here and my wife requested quotes to have a dimmer switch installed in our baby room. To my surprise electricians were quoted 90-100 CAD + materials. (~75 USD + materials) here in Toronto, ON. In my mind it sounds like a routine 5-10 minute job for any electrician. I took some basic home improvement courses and electrical work was included. As far as I know it's a matter of swapping and re-wiring the new switch to the existing wires (I'm not going to go into the specifics of the actual install).My questions are:-Will any switch I buy work, provided the bulb is "dimmable"?-Do I need to do any behind the wall work to replace or check any wiring? via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2JnuQlw
