Hello folks!I have an old swing, anywhere from 30-90 years old (not really positive). I know my grandpa built it, but I think the swing used to hang and then the stand for it was built later. Anyways, I'm trying to get it so I can clean it up and re-finish it with just protectant and no stain. Anyways, I started to try to sand the left arm today and realized that I may be in over my head. I was using medium grit and noticed it starting to clear away some of the old gray, but then I realized the old coat of whatever on it is pretty strong. See the below photo album for some reference photos:https://photos.app.goo.gl/mS5BPQFWD9tyEdU38So, I'm just seeking advice. Equipment to use? Do I need to power wash it first? Do I need to strip it? Any of these sorts of things so I can stop wasting my time and do this right from the start. :)Thanks all! via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2WE0Zbq
