I received a letter in the mail from Paychex stating they made an "overpayment" to my 401(K) two years ago and are requesting I repay them. Is that normal? I don't have the funds in my account to write the amount in a check per their request. It seems like it's their fault though, or my previous employer's. Am I missing something?
I'm just curious if I can fight this or not. Thanks.
