My garage door (Genie Model 404) is pretty old - probably from the 1970s, but it works perfectly well in our small single car garage. It's actuated by a wireless controller in our car and a relay switch (actually a doorbell) next to the home entry door.I'd like to add a pin pad outside of the garage door and was looking for options to retrofit our old system with a pinpad. Theoretically it could be wireless, but adding a 20ft wired option would work just fine for my family too.If you've added a pin pad to your old garage door with success in the past, please reply with what process you took.
