I’m not saying that you should avoid doing the things you want if there’s no coupons, etc. available. But we have found a lot of good restaurants this way and if I use Ebates to get a Groupon, going out to eat once every few weeks is like $25 total rather than $50.
When we tell her about a new place we found or a place we really like, she says “did you have a groupon for that? You two crack me up”. Like, I’m sorry, I work hard for my money and not all of us can just be housewives and spend our husbands money /rant
