I know there's a few posts like this on here but I was able to actually get them to drop the bill entirely from $75.99 to $55.99. When I moved into my apartment 3 years ago my internet was $35.00 this was the first time I actually paid for my internet outside of some military discounted internet, after the first year, the payment jumped up $20!
I called and come to find out when I signed up during my first year they put me on a deal for the internet. I watched a you tube video where a guy called and was able to drop his bill $60 whole dollars by threatening to leave so I tried to do the same ultimately failing because I was stumbling on my words and let them run the discussion.
fast forward to this year, my internet was $75 a month and just getting worse every year. I was about to join at&t for a cheaper plan but tonight I decided to try one more time. This time I was more stern in what I wanted and didnt swear or anything. They tried to pitch me a package with T.V. for $100 more than what I was paying but I shot it down!
They then tried to sell me a package with my cell phone but I was able to stop them since my cell phone plan gives me free talk and text world wide she finally just settled with giving me a discounted internet!
TL;DR My internet over 3 years jumped to $75.00, I was sick of it and called to haggle it down and through rigorous sales pitches I was able to get my internet payment down.
