the idea of being frugal attracts me very much from a spiritual and philosophical standpoint.
I don't care for shiny things. I believe that true happiness come from the inside and I very much like the idea of being humble and only take and use what you need for your bare essential needs. this way of living attracts me and I always avoided owning flashy new things - I truly like the humbleness of owning a denty old car over a shiny new one - even if i could easily afford the new one.
I believe this idea is seeded into me as a I once was an orthodox jew and in the community I was living - living a very simple (borderline poverty) life was a way of life and a way to get closer to god.
I would absolutely love to hear the community input on that, how many are you relate to the dea of being frugal as something spiritual/philosophical?
