This calculator has been on my desk and in my backpack on every trip for 30 years. I use it nearly every day. It was still running on the original factory batteries until 2016 -- 26 years!
Except for one little dent from a drop, it still looks new, and of course, it still works perfectly. 30 years with no reboots, no firmware updates, no repairs.
Sadly, HP no longer makes anything this good, and it is sad to see what was a shining beacon of US manufacturing and engineering excellence take such a long slide downhill.
