I have a 2 tone cheaper desk made of MDF with a fake wood pattern over it. It's from the early 2000s I want to change the look a little and paint it all black, if possible. I've seen desks people have done this on in thrift stores and such and they always look terrible. Paint peeling up, sticky, full of scratches, etc. I'm hoping there's maybe some kind of paint or primer that binds to the covering they put on the MDF and/or some kind of sealer to help with scratches. Or whatever would work to get a decent outcome. This might be a noobish question but I'm far from an expert in painting things. via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2vNIyVL
