Over the years I've taken 4 vaccums out of people's trash and they've all worked fine after some tlc. All vaccums had the same issues. Clogged filters and clogged hoses.
I take them apart, clean them, replace broken parts and amazon prime some new filters. If you can stomach the smells and hair you can save a lot of money.
