Hey Everyone, thanks for taking the time to read this. I need some guidance on how to solve this home electrical challenge I'm having.I just installed new recessed lights and replaced a single pole switch with a dimmer. After wiring everything the dimmer and lights work great, but I realised that I had a lamp plugged into the single plug that was controlled by the switch. When I unplug the lamp (with he dimmer on) the lights turn off, and I can turn the lights on and off with the lamps switch. The breaker is not being tripped when the lamp is unplugged.Anyone run into this before when setting up lights and a dimmer? via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2WYTsnD
