Long time lurker (on my primary account), first time poster. Possibly idealistically, I like the idea of investing in companies that will make me money and make the world a better place. For me, at this time, that's companies that offer alternatives to meat and/or help the environment. I'm interested in Tesla, Beyond, and Kellogg (owners of MorningStar Farms - great vegetarian meat alternatives). I know some on this sub are down on TSLA and think Tyson will move toward meatless and eat BYND's lunch if the desire for meatless hits a critical mass, and that's cool.
Does anyone else take this approach to investing? What are the companies you're following/investing in that you think make the world a better place (whatever that means to you)?
