Hey everybody, I was hit in a hit and run yesterday by someone fleeing a crime scene. They were found and arrested.
I was unharmed luckily, but my friend in the passenger seat had to be taken to the hospital and ended up having several broken bones. Unfortunately, her health insurance won’t cover all of her bills. She also doesn’t drive and therefore has no auto insurance.
She’s now asking for my auto insurance, and says that my insurance will help pay for it and then go after the person that hit me to recoup the damages. Is this true? Should I give her my information? Will it negatively impact me? Should we wait to see if the culprit had auto insurance to cover her health expenses?
