AMEX Blue Cash Preferred is removing 3% cash back at department store but adding 6% back on U.S. Streaming Subscriptions and 3% transit (including ride shares)

On July 31, 2019, the 3% cash back at select U.S. Department Stores will be removed. Starting August 1, 2019, Card Members will earn 1% cash back at select U.S. Department Stores.

Starting on May 9, 2019, Card Members who have the Blue Cash Preferred Card will receive two new benefits:

• 6% cash back on select U.S. Streaming Subscriptions (a current list of the select providers can be found at americanexpress.com/rewards-info.)

• 3% cash back on Transit (e.g., taxis/rideshare,parking, tolls, trains, buses and more).
