Going to keep this short

In my contract it says "You will receive an annual salary of $112,000.00, less applicable deductions and tax withholding"

This means the 112k will be before taxes right? So how much will I be taking home (mountainview, california)? Looking up some things on google it seems I will be taking home about 3k every two weeks, can anyone double check that for me, I'm new to this so I just don't want to make any mistakes.

I am looking for a decent apartment, and I don't mind spending 1.5k a month, definitely willing to go lower if needed.

I also want to help my parents back home. Currently they pay 1900 per month for mortgage. I want to give them 2k a month (more if I can) to help.

So right now I am looking at this:

I bring in 3k biweekly, 6k per month.

  • Send 2k back home every month (4k remaining)
  • Spend 1.5k for rent every month (2.5k remaining)
  • Spend 1k a month for food/fun/clothing (1.5k remaining)
  • Save the remaining amount

So with this I would be saving about 25% of my salary every month.

What do you guys think? If I made a mistake in my math anywhere please let me know, thank you so much!
