I wanted to lose weight. After a lot of research, fasting seemed the easiest/cheapest diet - so I tried it. First I fasted for 16 hours a day - eating about 2 meals during my feeding hours. I then tried my first 24 hour water only fast. Not too shabby. The past month I’ve been fasting 3 times a week at 36 hours per fast. The pounds are falling off. I feel much better, and to top it off, my grocery bill has been effectively cut in half. Maybe a little more. On days I eat, I still drink about a gallon of water - which has me eating MUCH less food.
I just wanted to share my approach. I’m sure most people will say it’s unsustainable. What do I plan to do when I’m at my goal weight? Maybe fast once or twice a week - but keep drinking the water. I can’t describe how good my body feels to be hydrated. I never knew before. It’s crazy how much better it makes me feel.
